TD Bank, Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., Inc. and Machinery Services Corp. support Eva’s Village, the most comprehensive anti-poverty organization in New Jersey, as major sponsors of 2011 “Building For Hope” Annual Benefit Gala.
Recognizing that an annual gala is a major funding source to non-profits, many business organizations support such events. But few such contributors are intimately involved with the charities they support. Eva’s Village, the most comprehensive anti-poverty organization serving New Jersey’s poor, is honoring TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, at its 2011 Annual Benefit Gala in recognition of the bank’s meaningful involvement with the poor and the lasting difference their effort makes in the community.
The mission of Eva’s Village is to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, treat the addicted and provide free medical and dental care to the poor. TD Bank believes in supporting the communities where its customers and employees live and work. The bank’s employees volunteer at Eva’s Kitchen on a regular basis, feeding a hot and nutritious lunch to the homeless and working poor. “We are proud to unite with Eva’s Village and make a positive impact in our community,” said Don Buckley, Market President for TD Bank. “At TD Bank, we are passionate about making a difference, and partnering with an organization with the same values has been a natural fit.”
Recognizing TD Banks commitment to helping the hungry, homeless and poor of New Jersey, Eva’s Village is honoring the Bank with their 2011 “Where Hope Begins” award, to be presented at the Annual Benefit Gala, October 25, 2011.
TD Bank responded by graciously becoming a major sponsor of the event, as has Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., Inc. and Machinery Services Corp., Paterson businesses owned by the Taylor family, who are previous Eva’s Village Gala Honorees. The Taylor family has supported Eva’s Village ever since they served their first lunch at Eva’s Kitchen almost 30 years ago. The Taylor family has proudly operated their businesses in Paterson, NJ since 1978 and has consistently demonstrated their community spirit by giving back in a very personal way.
