The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has penned a multi-year, global partnership with US-based investment bank Morgan Stanley.
Contract:
- Morgan Stanley secures brand visibility during select WTA Tour events
- Investment firm becomes presenting partner of WTA’s ‘Come Play’ community initiative
- New branded content series to be rolled out featuring tour stars
- Players to receive financial advice and get access to Morgan Stanley planning tools
Context:
Morgan Stanley joins the WTA’s global sponsorship tier alongside the likes of SAP, Whoop, and Modern Health. The financial services giant also has a personal endorsement deal with Canadian tennis star Leylah Fernandez, which was signed last year.
Comment:
“Supporting the next generation and giving everyone a shot at success are commitments we share with both Leylah and the WTA,” said Alice Milligan, chief marketing officer of Morgan Stanley.
“This new partnership represents our continued efforts to help provide girls in the sport of tennis with the vital tools they need today to be our stars of tomorrow.”
Coming next:
Morgan Stanley will be integrated into the Come Play community programme that sees WTA players, alumnae and coaches feature in tennis clinics, as well as other activities, designed to help build the next generation of leaders.
