JPMorgan Chase plans to double its footprint in the Twin Cities as part of an aggressive national expansion plan, the company announced Tuesday.
The bank said it will open more than 30 additional branches in the Twin Cities in the next three years and add 300 employees locally. The expansion will bring Chase’s metro area total to 60 branches.
“Minneapolis-St. Paul’s remarkable progress has exceeded expectations, and we are dedicated to ensuring that more individuals can seize the opportunities this city represents,” Jennifer Roberts, CEO of Chase Consumer Banking, said in a press release. “Our expanded branch network, alongside the creation of new job opportunities, will play a pivotal role in strengthening the local economy.”
Chase has branches in all lower 48 states and has added more than 650 branches in the past five years.
“Expanding our presence in the Twin Cities means even more actively contributing to local economic growth and providing exceptional financial services to the communities we serve,” Patty Gilman, Regional Director for Chase in Minnesota, said in the press release.
JPMorgan Chase has had a presence in Minneapolis-St. Paul for nearly 20 years with its Commercial Banking and Private Bank teams, the company said.
Chase said the new jobs in Minneapolis-St. Paul will offer at least $22.50 per hour as “base pay for U.S. overtime-eligible employees.” Compensation also includes an average benefits package of roughly $16,035 per employee.
