AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Bank of America donated a $50,000 grant to Heal the City today.
Heal the City was selected as a Bank of America Neighborhood Champion.
“I am thrilled to see the impact of the Bank of America Neighborhood Champion grant here at Heal the City Free Clinic, as I previously witnessed its transformative power at the Amarillo Wesley Community Center. This funding is more than financial support; it’s a commitment to the well-being of our community. This grant not only provides us with learning experience and essential resources to enhance our services, but also validates the important of accessible, compassionate healthcare for individuals in our community. With this support, we can continue focusing on improving health outcomes and addressing the unique needs of our patients. We are truly grateful to Bank of America for their trust and investment in our mission, and we look forward to the positive, measurable changes this will bring to Heal the City Free Clinic,” said Liz Rascon-Alaniz, executive director of Heal the City.
The Neighborhood Champions program is part of the bank’s efforts to build thriving communities by addressing issues fundamental to economic opportunity.
“Heal the City provides excellent care to community members who are without health insurance. By providing free care to our most vulnerable residents, Heal the City is giving patients hope for a better future. Bank of America Amarillo is proud to name Heal the City this year’s Neighborhood Champion, and we’re excited to help more uninsured residents get the care they need,” said W. Ashley Allen, Bank of America Amarillo president.
