Stock Price Movement:
With a market capitalization of Rs. 5,040.35 crores, the share of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited has reached an intraday low of Rs. 321.80 per equity share, down nearly around 1.68 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 327.30. Since then, the stock has retreated and is currently trading at Rs. 324.90 per equity share.
What Happened:
On March 19, 2025, Goldman Sachs Funds Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio sold a 0.54 percent stake in the company through a bulk deal. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 330.31 per share, totaling Rs 27.89 crore.
Before the sale, Goldman Sachs Funds held a total of 1.48 percent of the company. After selling 0.54 percent of their stake, their remaining holding is now reduced to approximately 0.94 percent. This shows a decrease in their overall shareholding after the bulk deal transaction.
Key Acquisitions:
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited expanded its projects with major acquisitions worth Rs. 15,000 crore across four key locations in India. In July 2024, they acquired 3.7 acres in Borivali West, Mumbai, for Rs. 1,800 crore. They also secured 2.4 acres in Bengaluru’s Electronic City (Rs. 250 crore) and 36.9 acres in Bhandup, Mumbai (Rs. 12,000 crore) for phased development. In January 2025, they acquired 8.2 acres near Bengaluru Airport, valued at Rs. 1,000 crore, strengthening their presence in major markets.
Client base:
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited has a solid client base across India, with major companies in its projects. MWC Chennai has 90 clients, including Infosys, BMW, and Capgemini. MWC Jaipur serves 149 clients like JCB and Deutsche Bank. Origins Chennai has 15 clients, such as Yanmar and Nissei, while Origins Ahmedabad is still being developed.
Recent quarter results:
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited’s revenue has increased from Rs. 82 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 167 crore in Q3 FY25, which has grown by 249.33 percent. The company’s net profit has turned negative, from a net profit of Rs. 50 crore in Q3 FY24 to a net loss of Rs. -22 crore in Q3 FY25.
