I’m an ex-Evercore, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley investment banker: Ask Me Anything (in the Bubble) – eFinancialCareers

Written by Amanda

eFinancialCareers recently launched a beta version of its new forum, The Bubble by eFinancialCareers. In an effort to foster EFC’s mission of being a place for honest and open discussion about the reality of careers in financial services, I figured I’d do an AMA (Ask Me Anything).

A little bit on my personal background:

  • I began a career on Wall Street in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs at the age of 18
  • I attended a top US liberal arts college as a first-generation, low-income college student on a full-ride merit scholarship, graduating with a B.A. (Hons.) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE)
  • I have experience advising blue-chip companies through mergers, acquisitions, private placements, IPOs and debt raises, with $10bn+ of cumulative transaction experience.
  • I have extensive investing experience across founder-focused private equity firms, including Argonaut Private Equity (one of the largest and highest-yielding private equity firms in the Central U.S.) and Comvest Partners (an operationally-focused private equity firm based in West Palm Beach, FL with $10bn AUM)
  • Founder of Gold Street, the leading Wall Street Admissions Consulting firm, touting a 100% placement rate across top-tier investment banks

To ask me a question, you’ll need to sign up for The Bubble using the link below. I’ll be there for a week from tomorrow (26th). I’m happy to field any questions about anything and everything IB recruiting!
