As part of the commitment, $5 million was allocated for immediate assistance to nearly 100 nonprofit organizations responding to urgent food needs in communities nationwide.
The investment comes amid continued strain on food banks and local providers, many of which are facing sustained demand driven by rising living costs and persistent economic pressure on households. Bank of America already provides annual philanthropic funding to more than 1,200 organizations focused on hunger and related needs, and the multi-year structure of the commitment is intended to support longer-term planning and operational resilience rather than one-time relief.
