Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s co-head Matthew Nicholls has left the firm, after just six months in the top job.
Mathew Nicholls, former co-head of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Australia.
He was anointed the wealth unit’s Australian co-head in November alongside Rebecca Hill, after long-standing boss Ian Chambers hung up the boots.
Nicholls spent 15 years at Morgan Stanley, and also led its risk management and investment solutions units during his tenure. He left the firm on Tuesday, sources said.
A spokesman for MSWM confirmed the departure but declined to comment further.
Nicholl’s abrupt exit comes hot on the heels of numerous staff departures. As Street Talk reported earlier this year, Melbourne private client adviser Julian Reeves left, alongside national administration manager Cassandra Drummond and state risk manager Peter Somerville.
