BURLINGTON, Vt. – Women’s basketball sophomore Catherine Gilwee, a Health Science major, is our TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending December 4.

Dartmouth Game-Winning Shot
Gilwee lead women’s basketball to their second consecutive perfect week, going 2-0, and extending their winning streak to five games. Vermont started the week with a 67-66 thrilling victory on the road against Dartmouth (Dec.1) where Gilwee scored a career-high 18 points, including the game-winner while converting 5-6 free throws and dishing out three assists. She finished her strong week by putting together a new a career-high with 20 points in the very next game versus Marist (Dec. 4), while knocking down 6-7 threes and dishing out four assists and leading her team to an 81-60 victory.
The Catamounts head on the road for five consecutive contests starting with a two-game trip to Pennsylvania which will see them play Saint Francis on Thursday, November 8 at 5 p.m. and Duquesne on Saturday, November 10 at 1 p.m. The Saint Francis game will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row with Ryan Zimmerman on the call on radio on WVMT. The Duquesne game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ while Ryan Zimmerman will be on the radio call on WVMT.
