CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — Partnership Grand Strand (PGS) received a $30,000 grant from Bank of America to fund and support internship opportunities for students at Coastal Carolina University.
The internships will be available for students through CCU’s RISE (Resilience, Innovation and Sustainability through Education) Center.
The grant will fully fund six summer internships and match the students with community businesses.
‘This generous grant from Bank of America enhances PGS’s ability to offer CCU students workforce readiness internships while assisting businesses in recruiting future talent. Collaborations like this reflect a shared commitment to fostering educational opportunities and business development in the Grand Strand region,” said Peggy Masterson, PGS Executive Director.
Students participating in the internships sponsored by Bank of America and RISE will gain class credit, professional experience and mentorship.

According to PGS, 65% of student interns ultimately accept full-time positions with their host companies.
