HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank continues its fight against hunger with some help from the community.
Hundreds of thousands of people get help from the food bank each month. Now, it’ll be able to help more after the PNC Foundation’s pledge to match donations up to $30,000 made through Dec. 31 this year.

“It’s a reflection of our commitment to the communities where we live and work,” said Jim Hoehn, PNC’s regional president for central Pennsylvania.

The food bank has partnered with the PNC Foundation for 17 years. It said it expects the donation to help provide 240,000 meals across 27 counties.
Budget impasses at both the state and federal level left many struggling to afford food this fall, especially SNAP recipients.
