Financial services giant USAA announced recently appointed head of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Tara Leweling will serve in an expanded role as vice president, chief diversity and sustainability officer.
Leweling will lead enterprise-wide diversity, inclusion, and sustainability initiatives to drive meaningful impact for USAA’s employees, members, and communities. She will report to Ameesh Vakharia, chief strategy and brand officer.
After serving in the Air Force for nearly 22 years, Leweling transitioned to the private sector as a leader in financial services with roles in public affairs, corporate responsibility, and sustainability at JPMorgan Chase and Allstate, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Before that, she worked for the National Security Council and NATO.
