M&T Bank taps TD Bank exec to lead charitable foundation … – The Business Journals

Written by Amanda

The M&T Charitable Foundation has named Dominique Goss as executive director, steering the bank’s corporate giving strategy and ensuring inclusive and equitable giving throughout the bank’s 12-state footprint.

She replaces Shelley Drake, who retired in March from the dual role as head of the foundation and Western New York regional manager for M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) after a 50-year career at the bank.

Goss joined the bank on July 6 after four years as senior group manager for corporate citizenship at TD Bank’s charitable foundation in Philadelphia. In that role, she was responsible for corporate giving and distribution of $26 million in charitable investments and sponsorships in a multi-state region. Before that, she was manager of charitable relationships and community relations for five years.

Goss, who will be based in Buffalo, will report to Mike Keegan, M&T’s senior executive vice president and head of community banking.

Founded in 1993, the M&T Charitable Foundation focuses on the areas of civic affairs, human services, education, arts and culture and health care in the communities it serves.

Last year, the bank and its charitable foundation together donated $33.9 million to more than 3,000 nonprofit organizations. Over the past decade, total contributions totaled nearly $300 million.

Goss holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Temple University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Her appointment follows Donald Elick, who joined the bank in January as Western New York program officer for the foundation.
