Forbes is out with its lists of America’s Best Large Employers and Best Midsize Employers for 2023, and several New Jersey firms made the grade.
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile its lists of America’s Best Large Employers and Best Midsize Employers. Both rankings are based on a survey of about 45,000 workers. The large-employer survey looked at companies or institutions with 5,000 or more employees, and the midsize list ranked firms with 1,000 to 5,000 workers.
Participants in both surveys were asked if they would recommend their current employer to friends and family and to name another employer they would recommend. The final lists rank the 500 companies that earned the most recommendations.
Overall, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., ranked No. 1 on the large employers list. Caltech in Pasadena, Calif., grabbed the top spot on the midsize list.
