FALL HARVESTING AND SURVIVAL WORKSHOP | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Join author-herbalist Lanny Kaufer and special guest author-forager-survivalist Christopher Nyerges in Ojai to learn seasonal harvesting and survival skills. Participants will process acorns and black walnuts for eating over a fire made with primitive skills, learn to identify edible and medicinal plants, learn basics of navigation and orienteering (finding your direction), and practice making cordage from yucca leaves. OAK REGENERATION IN THE TIME OF CLIMATE CHANGE | 7 p.m. Arborist Dave Muffly joins Ventura Land Trust at the Museum of Ventura County for a special OAKtober Environmental Speaker Series presentation. INFORMATION ON THE HIGH SCHOOL AT MOORPARK COLLEGE | Through March 28. The High School at Moorpark College allows students to earn both their high school diploma and college credits at the same time.
